Printhead problems

Anybody had personal experience of using instructions for reviving HP14
printheads commonly offered on ebay by US advertisers? Due I suspect to
lack of use for several months, a HP 7130 Multifunction printer given us
by our daughter is showing that cyan, black and magenta printheads need
replacing but I feel that this would not prove economic.

Average price runs $20 - $30 - Using the term "printhead", although correct,
can be misleading since it is also a replacement ink cartridge.

Check the printer software for a "service" utility which performs a cleaning
function - may work.

This isn't an XP OS issue. You might want to post to a hardware newsgroup
or a printer newsgroup.
