Hi,

I don't know if I'm posting this question in the right place but maybe
someone could help me.

My printer won't print in color. I just put in a new color cartridge so I
have plenty of color ink. I probably somewhere along the way did something
to code the printer not to print in color but I can't seem to find anywhere
where I did that.

Can anyone offer a suggestion?

Thanks.

Have a look at Control panel - printers. Right click your printer and
select Printing Preferences. Printer software is obviously specific to the
printer but on the quality/ speed page of my lexmark there is an option to
"print colour pictures in black and white". You should have that option
somewhere similar. Hopefully unchecking that will get you printing in
colour.

Failing that try taking the cartridge out , check you've taken off the
plastic stickers and reseat it. You should be getting a cartridge not found
error for that though.

Are you using the latest printer/driver from the manufacturers site?

If no joy try in microsoft.public.windows.vista.print_fax_scan stating
the make and model of the printer in the title and giving a description of
the problem.
