Printer Wont Print From Laptop

Printer was printing last week. Took laptop out of town for a week. Upon
return cant print to printer from laptop (same printer hooked up to pc and
will print). File, Print - Printer Status reads "Idle", Control Panel,
Printers - Printer Status reads "ready", Document Status reads "error". A
test page will not print. Printer is Brother 420CN, Laptop Inspiron E1705.
Please advise. Thank you!

Is the printer on a network or a local one? If it's local, it is connected
to the same USB port as it was last week?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer?
