Printer subsystem

Does anyone out there know why my computer is telling me
that my printer subsystem is unavailable? How do I get it
running again so I can reinstall my driver and print
things?

The spooler service is not running. Restart it, and make sure it's set to
start automatically. If after doing this you find that you still get this
error, I think you'll find that it's crashing silently. Check the system
event log.
