Printer Options

I send envelopes to one printer and letters to another. Everytime I open one
of these documents I have to reset the printer choice to the correct printer.
In older versions of Word the printer command would stay with the document
until you changed it. Is there a setting in Word that allows you to make
this choice. I am using Office 2003 with Vista

As Jay says, Word has never offered the ability to associate a printer with
a document (you can specify trays but not printers). Publisher can do this;
perhaps that's what you're thinking of.

See http://www.gmayor.com/fax_from_word.htm where you will find macro code
that will effect this. See the section - Use a different printer for
envelopes and labels, when using the envelope/label wizard
Suzanne is correct that there is no built-in facility to associate documents
with a particular printer, but that does not mean it is not achievable - see
http://www.gmayor.com/Associate_Printer.htm
