Printer not Communicating/Printer Port USB001 Not avail

I have a Dell USB Printer 964 and when trying to install it on windows
manually.Add Printer Wizard.Local Printer/No PnP.On the select Port Screen, i
dont see an option for a Virtual Printer Port.USB001.
Will you have to add a new port for USB in XP. What abt the drivers.
 
Use the software from Dell and don't try to install it manually..... install
the software and do NOT connect the printer until the software tells you to
do so.
