Printer listed incorrectly in Device Manager

Yeah

I am using a Canon Pixma ip6000D printer (via USB connection) with Windows
XP Home SP2.

In Device Manager, the printer is listed under Disk Drives as "Canon
iP6000DStorage USB Device". Is it supposed to be there? How do I get it
listed properly - in other words, not as a USB device?

(The listing disappears when the printer is turned off, and of course,
re-appears when the printer is turned on.)

Any information is appreciated. Thanks!

The listing under Device Manager should be labeled correctly, since the
printer is using an USB connection, so therefore, it will be listed as being
used on the USB port. Why would you want to change it and what do you want
to change it to?

Yeah

Never mind, just thought it was an incorrect entry. I would figure it'd be
displayed under a more appropriate category like..."Printers"... LOL

Does your printer have a built in card reader? If so, that is a USB mass
storage device.
