Printer Ink Advice

The 8000 series of HP Photo Printers. They produce good results (OEM)
inks. From what I see, the HP Photo Printers have a big advantage if
somebody is bent on using after market ink. You do not have to worry
about clogged print heads since they are built into the cart. The only
worry is about leakage.

I've not had any probs with cart leaks on my 5 year old Hp895cxi.

However it's been used so much I've twice had to empty the little tray that
captures the ink when the heads are cleaned or primed. If you have an old
printer that hasn't been moved for a few years watch out when you do come to
move it.

Much thanks to Burt (and Frank). I think I've gathered enough credible
information for study. I'll go to some of these sources and see who
offers what at what price.

And if their websites don't look professional and they don't tell me
the surnames of all the people who handled the ink . . . kidding!!!
Hi Susan,

From what I've heard, the MIS inks are good. I'd meant to mention them
upthread when I mentioned Lyson and Permajet.

The inksupply label "MIS" is not a manufacturer.

I'll be buying a new printer soon (Canon) and like to read people's
experiences. I'm especially interested in compatible ink since I don't feel
ink should cost half as much as a printer. To put in into perspective, milk
doesn't cost half as much as my fridge :).

Don't ice cream manufacturers still give discounts on freezers so small
shops can stock their expensive ice cream?

Try MSI

MIS is the label on the inks I have been using. There is also one labeled
MSI. Mousekite is just continuing with his self proscribed definition of
what a brand is. Please, Mousie - no need to repsond. I already know your
reasoning. No need to continue the rant - MIS is the stuff I use - works
great - I don't give a flying F about your brands, labels, whores, etc.

Maybe you are a pimp. I have not heard from your ass in a day. You
LIED low. But you are correct. MIS is a label. A BRAND is reserved
for thos who make a product and distribute it through channels.

The paper we like might be BRANDED as Ilford but it is labeled
Kirkland. Understand RATKIKE.

You're the one who keeps putting his foot in his mouth. In fact is seems
the only reason you ever open your mouth is to change your feet.

Susan

Do you have any thought about buying a cow to milk your own ink? I would
go with whatever printer I can find cheap third party ink.

I am paying around $2.00 - $2.50 for Epson compatible ink which is about
10+ times cheaper than original Epson ink. It's cheap enough that I don't
even care to fill my own which I used to.

Certainly not to continually make fool out of myself like you always do.
Keep it up bozo, you're very entertaining (at a 3rd grade level that is).

I will be printing letters, travel information from the net, and photos,
of course. It sounds like you're happy with your compatibles... on all
your printers.

Susan

Photo? I would bring to store like Wal-Mart, SAM's Club or similar which
costs around 17-20 cents per 4x6" print. IOW, you have owned a super
expensive photo printer and have some employee doing the printing for you,
then why not use it which it lot cheaper and last much longer than Inkjet.

I agree that some photo looks better with inkjet than photolab, but the
whole world lives with the look of photolab so I guess we too can live with
it.

Ummm, I distinctly asked for "user advice" on compatibles. Following
recent threads, you show to have none. When you get some experience with
these inks, come back to me. Until then, good luck with your nursery rhymes
(Hickory, Dickory, Doc...) from earlier this evening.

Susan

You are very correct about this. He should need to have some experience
first before he can share with other. 10 years without problem means
(boring life) he still haven't learned anything from problem that most
people learn from problem and own mistake.

I have been using inkjet for many years, and before some local stores
offering digital printing I used to fill my ink and print lot of photo with
Epson Photo printer. Then started using online print (Wal-Mart used to
charge 26 cents per 4x6) and now they offer 1 hr printing at local Wal-Mart
store for 17 cents per 4x6. And I have Wal-Mart do all my photo printing(I
sometime print up to 200+ photos each).

About third party ink, I shop for the lowest price and deal I can find. I
don't remember the link, but few months ago I bought (10) Color and (10)
black ink cartridges for my Epson Photo 900, and they cost around $40-$43+
FREE S/H for all 20 cartridges. Right now, I only use inkjet t print CD/DVD
label (inkjet printatble DVD) and it would take at least 2+ years to use up
10 cartridges (each color).

And even if the printer dies, it's still much cheaper than spending $$$$
on the original ink.

Oh geeze...I'm fear I'm arguing with a pre-teen idiot! You couldn't be
more than 9-10 yrs old according to the phraseology you're using. Or
maybe it’s just the lack of a proper education coupled with your obvious
low intelligence that’s coming through in your postings.
One thing is really obvious…you need help.
