Printer drivers for NEC 750c and Panasonic KX-P1080i Printers not available?

NEC website says no driver available for XP for NEC SuperScript 750c printer
although one was available for Windows 98

Panasonic KX-P1080i dot matrix printer - need driver for XP

Don't tell me I have to discard these two printers just because I updated to
XP. I thought I would at least install them as Generic Text Only printers
but I get a message that scares me: "Installing this driver not
recommended. Computer might become unstable or stop working completely. Do
you want to continue installing this driver."

Is there any way to use these printers with XP?

I would believe the message. It sounds like you risk BSOD's (stop errors)
if you install the drivers. Incompatible device drivers are the first
suspect when you get a blue screen of death. At least you know how to avoid
them in this case.

SuperScript 750.... probably too old but try the XP built in drivers for the
860.

Thanks. At least I can print with the 860 driver on the SuperScript 750. I
did not find a driver for the 1080i but but installed the driver for
KX-P1081 and am able to print with it.
