printer/digicam conflict?

I recently bought and installed a new HP 3650 printer on both desktop
and laptop. I now find that neither pc will recognise my digital
camera when plugged into the usb - previously they both did.
I've uninstalled the printer from both pcs and reinstalled the camera
drivers, but they still don't see the camera usb.
Anybody help?

Maybe it's the camera or USB port and the printer install was just a
coincidence? Can you gey any computer to recognize your camera?
