printer compatibility

I'm using Window's XP home Edition on a Toshiba lap top.
I have a HP Deskjet 340 portable printer I want to
install on the lap top. Do you know if this will be
compatible and/or will the Window's WP program recognize
and run the printer program? Thank you for any
assistance you can give me. Or could you direct me to a
web site where I may find the answer.
