Printer Cache - won't clear a deleted/canceled job

Seemingly at random, a print job will finish, but won't
be cleared in the cache. Also, seemingly at random, a
deleted print job will not be cleared. This prevents
other jobs from being printed. I've tried restarting the
printer, but that did not work. It is a pain to restart
Windows everytime this happens. This has happened on
Win98, XP Home, XP Professional with different Lexmark
printers. My questions are (1) is this a Microsoft
problem or a Lexmark problem? and (2) is there a solution
other than replacing every printer in the office?!!?

Hi

I have the same problem with my Epson EPL5700L
I installed the latest drivers from Epson and even upgraded my BIOS

On my P3 Laptom with USB 1 ports the printer works well

My main compter is a P4, 512MB, USB2 with IntelD875PBZ
