printed watermark

I am trying to add a high res pic (756 KB, TIFF) to my MS word document as a
printed watermark and it does not show up or print. Is this just too big?
Should I use another file format? I am in print view mode. Do you have any
suggestions?

Hi Chick,

What version/build of Word (from Help=>About)?

Does the same graphic appear correctly in a blank Word
document if you use Insert=>Picture=>From file (not as a watermark)?

No, I actually have to copy the pic within Microsoft Imaging and paste it
with the paste special function.

Hi Chick,

It could be the TIFF formatting then.
There are variations of TIFFs (multipage, 48-bit...)
that the MS Office graphics converters don't handle.

If you're scanning the graphic in you may want to
try using different settings for the graphic or
run it through a program such as http://www.irfanview.com
first.
