Print Screen file size

Switched from a ThinkPad T21/Win2K to a Dell Latitude D610/WinXP. When I
Print Scrn to an office printer "mailbox", then email it as an Acrobat file,
file size was 150k per page with the old laptop. It's 500k+ with the new
laptop. Is there some adjustment I can make to Print Scrn to reduce the file
size? (I know the problem is either my hardware or OS software, not the
office printer or Acrobat.)
 
One more bit of information: the utility linked to the PrintScrn button is
DS PrintKey v. 1.0.2.
