Print Preview

If I select a range for printing - say A20:G60 and want to see how it will
print on the page - when I do a print preview it displays as if I'm going to
print a full page. But I'm just going to print the selection. So how do I
view what the selection will look like? Thanks.

Select the range | go to | page layout tab | print area : set print
area | office button | print | print preview or shortcut key for print
preview Ctrl + F2

You don't need to change the print area.

Office Button|Print|Print
Check selection
click the Preview button

It's very close to the way xl2003 and earlier work.
Thanks muddan - that was it.
