Does anyone know where I can find the header and footer codes for Frontpage.
In other office application they can be found by using F1, but not in
Frontpage. Header and Footer codes from other application i.e. Word do not
work in Frontpage.

Please help.
Thanks
Sabine

Print Header and Footer are set by Internet Explorer (or your default
browser, if not IE), not by FrontPage.

Maybe, but how many people will be viewing your page from FP?

You can't control the browser print settings from your web pages.

That's not the point. But I see I obviously have to give background to get a
useful response.

I am creating a website for somebody else. Totally replacing the existing
one. However for archival reasons I would like to create a hardcopy of the
each downloaded file with Title, Page Number in the header and file location
and date in the footer. This is needed purely for content not layout reasons.
Since I don't want to have hundreds of unnecessary pages. I open the page in
the web in Frontpage, alter the layout so it prints better and then would
like to be able to just hit the print button instead of opening it in
Internet Explorer to and then go through print setup up every single time!

The header and footer code used in IE DOES NOT WORK in Frontpage other than
page of pages. Can I please have some help now?

Thanks
Sabine

Sabine,

You are limited to the option available in the FP Print Setup Dialog or you will need to contact MS
Product Support.

If you just need to archive the old site, why bother printing each page, just publish the site to a
folder and then burn a CD from the folder.

already did the CD thing, but the people I am working with are not
necessarily working with the computer a lot. Thanks anyway, I guess I'll have
to contact Product Support.

I know that I am limited to the print setup support, but there is a specific
header and footer code available that just doesn't seem to be documented
anywhere.

I.e. Page &p of &P gives i.e. Page 1 of 2. That's the kind of code I am
looking for..............

Control Panel) &d

Thanks, but as I said previously these don't really work. Only the page and
title ones do.
But thanks anyway

Why not view each of the old pages in IE and print from there?
