Hi somebody help me here : I have a problem that I can not print out in black
in word or notespad, but can print out in any other coloures. If I print out
from a webside there no problem with black.

Did you check your black ink?

Even though a ink on a print out appears black it could be a blend of
colors and your color ink is being used instead.

You should still rule out your printer since you encounter the same
issue when printing from the Notepad since it is a text only
application.

Did you try printing a test page for your printer? Does it show black
ink?

Some users report success from changing the font color from Automatic to
Black. If you do this in Normal style, it should ripple down to all the
rest--or just Ctrl+A and make the change globally to all the text in a given
document.

Hi Beth and Suzanne :-)
Yeah try all the things also the automatic thing and to Beth yes print out a
Justing site there are black but not all lines are in it. But the test site
is okay except for the K it not filled out in black but frames and so on are
black :-) Have been used a lot of hours on this and think I try everything I
could find about this but still hope you have some new ideas because I'm
"blank"! hehe.... Thanks for the repons again :-D

The test page I was referring to can be printed directly from your
printer which should give you the best results for troubleshooting
purposes. For example if you don't see black when printing the test
page then I'd say your black nozzle is clogged or something else is
wrong.

Open your Printer folder, right click your printer and select
Properties. Each printer will have varying properties/options but see
if there are Maintenance/Utility options and/or a command similar to
"Print Nozzle Check". This should print a sample of each color and you
should see some black text on the page. (There may also be "Print Test
Page" command which you can use but a Nozzle check will be more
accurate)

If you don't see black when printing then the problem points to the
actual hardware, such as a clogged nozzle. Use the maintenance
commands, such as "Cleaning" or "Deep Cleaning" and see if that clears
the problem up. (If it's really bad you may need to clean the nozzles
several times)

Hi Beth
Try that several times still no black, so think I have to conclude that it
is where I put the black ink in there can be the problem. Try to clean and
deep clean about 15 times each with same result. So thanks for the time you
took to give me some idea to find the problem :-D.

You're welcome and good luck getting your printer fixed. :-)

Until then you can use a Custom color for black in Word. Use the "More
Colors" option for the Font color and select one of the black colors
in one of the two rows at the bottom. Don't use the large black color,
since that's black, but the others should use a blend of your color
cartridge. The last one in the first row is what I use when my black
ink cartridge is out. ;-)

You can verify that it will use your color cartridge by selecting a
black color, then click the Custom tab and making sure the RGB text
boxes aren't all zero.
