With Word 2003 it is possible to print booklets and it works fine. If I have
to change the contents on one of the pages I would rather like to print only
the page concerned (together with the 3 additional pages) instead of the
whole booklet. Is this possible or am I asking too much from Word. I tried
but failed so far.
thanks in advance

By entering the pages by "own" page numbers (first page is not 1) and by
“MSword†numbering. If I want to print pages 11, 12 and 89, 90 (own page
numbering) for instance it prints page 97 twice and 98 only. If I enter the
MSword page numbering it prints something completely different. One solution
would be to import the changed pages into Publisher but I am curious if it
could be done with Word. Thanks and hope you may help.

Supposedly, if you select a single page to reprint, Word prints that page
along with the "facing" page (that is, the other page that would be on the
front of that sheet) and the two pages that would be on the reverse side of
the sheet. I have had practically no success with getting this to actually
work, which is why, for most booklets (especially long ones where I am
almost certain to have to reprint specific pages), I still use the method
described at http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/BookletPrinting.htm

One suggestion I got was to cover those pages which should not be printed
with a textbox with the colour white as background. Those pages come out
blank and can be used again. It would be a tedious job with a booklet of 80
pages but it solves the problem.

Willem.

I'm not sure I see the point of this. If you have to reprint a single page,
then you need to also reprint the facing page on its sheet.

Your right off course, if you have to reprint 1 page then the 3 other facing
pages should not be covered with a textbox.
