Every time I open up word there are visible print margins on the page. In the top and bottom corners there are L shapes which I cannot seem to hide. Does anyone know how to remove them?

If by "print margins" you mean a dotted line around the docuent body, then
in Tools | Options | View: clear the box for "Text boundaries." If it's just
the "crop marks" you're seeing, then go to Start | Programs | Microsoft
Office Tools | Microsoft Office <version> Language Settings and disable
support for any Asian language.
