All, Has anyone seen the error "There was a problem
retrieving printer information for this object. The
object may have been sent to a printer that is
unavailable" when trying to design a report? All of my
other Office products work without a problem, but can't
get the Report function going. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks,

Pat

I ran into this recently when a default printer for the PC got "moved" on
the network. The printer definition in Windows wasn't updated, so when I
tried to edit a report definition, I got a similar message.

First confirm that your Windows default printer definition is current -- you
might have to delete it and re-connect to it.

Good luck

Jeff,

I guess the MVP under your name is truly earned! I had
switched my printer to a shared printer on my home
network a few weeks ago.

I did what you suggested, deleted the printer, then added
it again. I can now edit my reports!

Thanks very much for saving me $35!

All the best,

Pat

You're welcome. So, I didn't realize the "lumps" showed in the email ...
I've taken a few!<g>

P.S. It isn't enough to take the lumps, you have to remember getting
"lumped", too!
