Would like method for printing an envelope from Desktop without having to launch Word. Running XP Professional with Office 2003. Address for recipient not consistant and not on other file. Responding to return mail cards.

Choose an application that you're happy to launch, and use that instead.

Perhaps was too brief trying for simplicity. I would use Word to print envelope but desire to call for printing from desktop without having to exit other activities, launch Word, and then print envelope. In other words, abiolity to print envelope from Desktop "shortcut".

There's no need to exit other activities before starting Word. But anyway,
if you're really keen, create an envelope template, add an AutoNew macro,
then create a desktop shortcut to the template: clicking the shortcut will
create a new document based on your template and run its AutoNew macro.

You could even download the envelope template from the downloads page of my
web site and create a link to that on your desktop - but there is no way you
can print a Word envelope document without opening Word.
