Print Directory??????

Trying to print on paper a list of files in a directory/folder
in WinxpPro. The "help" file is too much "techneese" for
me. Does anyone know of a simpler set of instructions
somewhere? ( I need the "how to pour piss out of your boot" kind.)

start, all programs, accessories, commad prompt, type "dir >dir.txt"
