Print access report "outside access-databae" environment?

Hi everyone,

Some of the staff at my office don't have access installed on their machines
(they have office 2003 - without access).

Now, I have created some "fancy" access reports that I really would like to
share.

1) Is there a way for these users to be able to run (print or save as pdf)
these reports? If so, how?

2) If I want the users to be able to change the query underneath the report
- what would be a good path to follow? (set up an Excel book where they pass
"values to variables" and then have Access query to call these variables,
maybe?)

Advice much appreciated!

Each user that uses any part of an Access application has to have at least
the runtime version of Access on their computer.
It the past, it has been an expense issue because the developers extensions
package was expensive. It cost more than buying Access by itself. But for
2007, the runtime and extensions are free. You can download them from
Microsoft. So, it may be work converting your application to 2007 if you
have at least one copy of full install of 2007.

So, would their Office 2003 be sufficient - or do they need office 2007? Or
maybe no office at all - just the extension?

The runtime and developers extensions can be downloaded from Microsoft. The
users don't have to have Office at all, provided you deliver the run time
with your install package, but you really do need at least one copy of
Access 2007 so you can test your application to be sure everything works in
2007 and so you can convert the application to 2007 and create the 2007
install package.
