Priniter Publishing/Active Directory

I have a small home network used for my own training. It
has a Windows 2000 Server (evaluation copy) used as an
Active Directory Domain controller. I am using the system
to work on my MCSA.
DNS is installed and appears working (all computers,
including the server, are in my network places), DHCP is
installed, all systems are DHCP clients except the one
server, which is configured with static IP address and is
excluded in the scope which is activated and DHCP server
that is authorized in active directory.
Also on the network is a Win2KPro workstation with a print
device (HP 2210 printer/scanner/copier/fax), which is
shared with the default permissions. 2 other systems on
the network run Windows XP pro. On the printers property
page, the printer is shared, and the check box "List in
the directory" is checked. It is my understanding that
the printer will be found in Active Directory Users and
Computers MMC, in the computers container.
The printer is not listed in the directory, or any
container within the directory. I also checked both the
servers Default Domain Policy and the Win2Kpro system's
group policy, and tried enabling the printers policy that
makes printed displayed within the directory, but still no
display of the printer.
I tried searching for the printer within Active Directory
Users and Computers with no luck.
The printer is displayed within the printers folder of the
server and all work stations, and is accessable and
functional.
What can be done so that the printer is displayed within
the directory? Any help would be appreciated.

To see the printer published in AD, you have to do the following:
1. Open AD Users and computers MMC
2. In view menu select Display Users and Computers as containers (something
similar)
3. Browse to you server (probably in Domain Controllers) and double click on
the server or expand the server in tree view. You will see the printer
attached to the server. You can move the printer to another location if you
wish.
