Does it matter on which drive Windows is installed? Can all drives (primary
master, primary slave, secondary master, secondary slave) be made bootable?

In its native mode, every Windows installation requires the
following:
- The boot files must be located on the first visible and
active partition of the primary master disk.
- The remaining files can go anywhere.

If you use a third-party boot manager (e.g. XOSL) then
the boot files may reside in other places. It all depends
on the boot manager.
