Previously saved version

Hey all!
I could really use some help. I've been working on an ongoing journal for a
final project for three weeks now and clicking "save" each time I worked on
it. Something must have happened, however, when I had another file open at
the same time because now the file for my journal entry contains the text
from another file and NO JOURNAL! I must have clicked "save as" and saved my
lecture file as the name for my journal file.

I am working with Word 2003 and have tried "File - Versions" but there are
no previously saved versions on my computer. I must have made the mistake
while frantically studying for a test about one week ago, and now, as I get
ready to complete the journal, it is no where in sight!

I hope I have explained my situation clearly enough. If not, just ask and I
will clarify more. I really appreciate any help you can give me, as my
deadlines are approaching.
Thank you so much!

Here's a site with some information on Word
document recovery: www.word-recovery.info

I have no experience of using it however.

I cannot comprehend how someone working on a document such as that would not
have made a back-up to some sort of external media. Learn from your lesson.

Hope this helps.

existing files - which is what would have happened if:

I appreciate your speedy replies! Still on a search. I'd be grateful for
constructive replies... a little frazzled here and already aware that I made
a mistake.
