Preview Pane is MIA

I have restarted, reset to defaults shut down and reopened but for some
reason even though my show preview pane button is checked there is no preview
pane in sight. This problem surfaced after Outlook had to close and reopen
due to some unknown error, is this a problem where in which I will have to
reinstall. Please let me know I are so confused....

And what version of Outlook are we talking about here?
Does the Title Bar indicate Outlook Safe Mode?
Are you sure it's not dragged all the way to the side/bottom?
Tried resetting your view on the folder already?
