Preview JPEG files in Explorer has lost it's magic

Radel

Hi,

I have Internet Explorer 6 on my Win98SE machine. After installing a few
graphics programs and etc. Now the preview of Jpegs in my Windows Explorer
no longer happens. If I single-click a file, no preview. I have "View as
webpage" enabled. It seems as if the IE magic has been lost.

I know that it is linked to IE somehow, but reinstalling IE doesn't fix the
file associations, etc. I have tried creating new file association for jpegs
by hand to no avail.

Please help
/radel.

.
It sounds like you have to change the program associated
with jpeg files. One of the programs you installed
chnaged which program opens jpegs. Here is how you change
it back, right click on any jpeg file choose properties
from the menu. On the general tab you will see a change
button, click this which will open a window called open
with, from here you will choose Internet explorer. Click
ok, then click ok again. This should fix it.
