Prevent more than 355 characters per cell

At the menu - Data, Validation, Allow (Select Text Length)
Enter Minimum 0, Max 255
Done

I want to be alerted if more than 255 characters are inserted into a cell.

Data Validation -

Hi Pat,

With the cell highlighted, click Validation under the Data menu. Unde
the Validation Criteria select Text Length. I am sure you can work i
out from there. Be sure to add an error alert too.
