Prevent download from the server - POP account

In Outlook Express I was able to create a message rule which contained the
condition "do not download from server". This has apparently been dropped as
a condition in Outlook 2003 message rules.
My wife & I share the same POP email account but we denote separate mail by
having our name as a prefix to the account i.e. (e-mail address removed) or
(e-mail address removed). We log on to our pc with our own user accounts. I have used
separate folders to store our individual e-mail messages, creating a message
rule that sorts the various mail after downloading from the server, but this
seems messy, and of course we can read eachothers mail. Does anyone know how
to make Outlook only download the messages addressed to me from the server
and leave the others on the server? Or do you have to download all the
messages and then somehow sort them on your PC?

The way you're doing it (using rules to sort the mail once downloaded) is
the only way to do this. Yes, you can read each other's mail, but if you're
sharing a mailbox at your ISP there's no way to prevent that other than
trust. If you really want your mail to be kept separate, you should see
about getting separate mailboxes at your ISP.
