Is there a way to prevent MS Outlook 2007 from being closed out? I am
running into situations where MSO is being closed either accidently or
purposely and it is preventing the operations of other programs.

That is not the problem or the answer to my problem. Thanks for trying...

No, there is no way to prevent someone from closing Outlook unless it is on your machine and you have it locked by use of a password protected screensaver.

I do not know if this will help, but you could create a scheduled task on the
computer to run Outlook every XX minutes. I tested it at 1 minute and it
seemed to work fine. I do not know how time senisitive your situation is but
I would probably not set the time for more than every 5-10 minutes.

To do this add a scheduled task to run Outlook go to the Schedule tab, click
the advanced and you can tell it run every so many minutesd until a certain
time. You could have the start time be 12:01 Am and the end time be 11:59 PM
..

Hope this will help,

Ken Smith
