Hi.

I've got an application which uses Intelliprog component do make a
dialup connection and it works pretty well. But my client recently
bought the WHANTO SDIO modem from Pretec and my application cannot dial
using this card (giving me the error 619), though I can connect using
the OS connection Manager. Just to test the dialup feature through
applications with this modem I tried to connect using the latest
version of DialUpMaster - no luck too.

Another strange thing with this modem is that when you make a dialup
connection thru Connection Manager and it's still calling and you
cancel the connection, the modem doesn't stop calling...

These things make me think the problem is with the modems driver...
What do you think? Is anyone using this modem? Please help me...

Thanks in advance,

Error 619 is translates to "The port is disconnected."
This often happens when another program is using the modem. Make sure that
nothing else is using the modem. Try to soft reset the device.

Hi Alex,

I've searched for the error message and discovered that before
posting. The fact is that this error occurs *every* time when using
this specific model. I've got 15 units of them with me now, and tested
them with 3 different models of PPCs to assure the problem is not with
a single one or with a specif PPC. Other modems do not show this
problem with your component. I think the problem is in the modem
driver, as other applications that do not use your component also have
problems with this model.

BTW, You sent me once a version of your component that supports
modems names with more than 32 chars, do you remember? Though this
version can handle more than 32 chars (as seen in the debbuger), it
raises an ArgumentException, with the same code that works with the
previous version. Do you have a newer version that corrects it?

Thanks in advance,

Aderval
