Presenter View in 2003?

Has the presenter view in 2003 changed? When I used to use it in 2000, I
would get an actual "presenter" view with the two large arrows underneath the
slide to advance or go back, the slide itself and the thumbnails on the side.
Now, when I say show presenter view, it just stays in normal view on my
monitor and shows just the presentation on screen - which is not awful, but I
really liked my arrows/and preview of next text to appear. What happened to
the Presenter View??

Any ideas?

Cheers,
Elf

No- the arrows should still be there!!

You might check that you have sp2 loaded as there are some problems with the
base issue of 2003 which effect files made in 2000 and before.

Thanks, John. It definitely is remaining in an "edit mode" on the laptop
screen and adds a new toolbar button "Resume Slide Show". We have sp2
loaded.

I've tried it on three of our laptops here with same result. Thinking it
may be a problem in our image. Will try a manual install of Office onto one
and see what happens.

We need to figure this out . . . many of our employees use the presenter
view when on the road. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Found a conflicting program in our image. Removed it and Presenter View is
back.
Thanks for your help!

I have had the same problem of Presenter View staring to load & then
disappearing. Evrything is set up correctly for 2 monitors & Presenter DID
work until I turned it off. It won't reload. I've re-installed Office
(twice), reloaded the monitor driver, but it still won't work. Following
Elfmajesty's result of finding a conflicting programme, I've tried to find a
suitable suspect, but to no avail. What prog. caused the problem? I really
hope I'm not going to have to reformat & reinstall Windows!
