Presenter view and .PPS files

Hello all,

I'm using Power Point 2003 with Windows XP Pro, with dual monitors. I want
to use Presenter view with dual monitors to show speaker notes on one monitor,
while displaying the presentation on another. With the .PPT file open and
hitting F5, everything works fine.

If I save the file as a PPS file and double click to run, the presentation
runs on the 2nd monitor like it's supposed to, but the speaker notes don't
show up on the other.

Our Power Point files are launched from a menu program, either by using the
PPView program to launch a .PPS file, or by calling PowerPoint.exe with the
/S switch to launch the slide show directly. I've tried the /S switch, with
the same result.

So, how do I get the presenter view to show the speaker notes if I save the
file as a .PPS, or launch the PPT file remotely using the /S switch?

Thank!
