Presentation with .avi file

I want to play an .avi file in a presentation, but I
can't! When i try to run the presentation, the movies
appears for a split second but i turns black afterwards.
I can play the movie seperated in media-player, and the
whole presentation can be played in another computer. I
have tested the presentation with two different
computers, but the movies turns black on my computer.

Info : P4 2.5, 256 ram, windows XP, office 2003

Maybe you could help me. I am having a difficult time inserting a video from my camera into a presentation. I can do pictures, but this is eluding me
