Preparing to Standby.....Problem

I recently started having a standby issue. The PC tries to go into standy
mode but it gets locked up, and just hangs there. I have to do the 4 second
power button reboot to get it to respond....what could be the problem all of
a sudden?

Hi,

I started having the same problem after the august updates where
installed. I have the same problem while trying to shutdown.
