prepare usb flash for boot

Can anyone provide steps to prepare a usb flash drive to boot embedded xp?

If you can only get it to work with a certain capacity or brand of usb
drive, Please include that information.

I am willing to purchase what erver software or hardware will be needed to
boot xpe from a usb flash drive.

Define any specific hardware software that worked for you.

Hi Eric,

the hardware doesnt matter.
You can just start with the Winlogon Macrocomponent on any computer and
build the rest of your image by hand.
I have now a generic Windows Embedded SP1 image with a size of
uncompressed 90MB,
that simply boots any computer from any USB device to full XP (desktop).
Because I do not know, whether this is legal,
I ask my patent agent about this and the EULA from Microsoft. If this was
cleared, I tell you
everything, how to do this.
