Place a floppy in the drive, making sure the Write protect
tab is not engaged. (When looking at a floppy, there is a
slider tab on the upper-right corner. When you can see
thru the hole it is write protected. If it is closed then the
disk is writable.)
Open Windows Explorer, Right Click the Floppy A: icon.
From the context menu choose Format. When the format
options appears, Check the box "Create an MS-Dos boot
disk." Optionally, you can name the disk by clicking in the
Volume Name box and entering a short descriptor.
