Preinstalled XP

My files and folders are a mess. I was going to do a
System Restore with the recovery cd however my computer
just ejects it and says "remove all cd's and discs and
restart your computer". I really don't want to run a
syst. rest. if I dont have to anyway. How can I fix this
problem without an XP disc?

I mean I was going to do a FACTORY restore off the
recovery cd. I tried to do a system restore but it did
not fix my problem.

My files are all screwed up. I do not have anything in my
scheduled task file when I try to add something and run
it I get...Path is invalid. Also on restart the same
program opens more than once causing error. My husband
and I use different log on names and I think he must have
tried to move things in his folders and making copies of
folders he doesn't need to.

Hello,
You may want to try the WindowsXP newsgroup. My suggestion would be to
backup everything youdeem important and rebuild the system.
