pre-windows 2000 domain rename

is there a way to rename the pre-windows 2000 domain?

I have a client whos domain name changed when they
upgraded to active directory. The pre-windows 2000 domain
name stayed the same. They would like it to match the new
name.
 
sorry, you can't change NetBios name. Even during upgrade, when you select
AD domain name (DNS) you don't have the option to change NetBios name.
