PPT Viewer Range

I read somewhere that the 2003 PowerPoint view CANNOT be programmed to play a
set range. Can anyone here confirm that and if so, does anyone know why
Microsoft took out this feature and why? Cheers.

It can't be programmed to do anything.

There's a command line switch for starting a show at a specific slide though.
