ppt FILE ON ANOTHER COMPUTER IS MESSED UP

When I place a copy of a ppt file on my laptop, created on my desktop, the
formatting is incorrect. this requires editing all the slides. Why is this
happening and how can I prevent this? Both Office versions are the same, with
same updates.
 
Could be a font problem. Are you using a font on your desktop that isn't on
your laptop?
