ppt and pps

Would you kindly advise.

I use Serif Page Plus and Powerpoint. When I receive a Powerpoint
Presentation (PPT or PPS) from friends, the PC brings up Serif. Serif use the
same suffix.

This, despite the fact that when I right click a Powerpoint file - Choose
Program - (I choose Microsoft Powerpoint) and check the box 'Always use the
selected program to open this kind of file' it still takes a Powerpoint
presentation to Page Plus because of the suffix.

Is there an answer to this? James

Hi,
I've made a ppt template in Power Point 2007, but can't solve one problem:
I've made a ppt template. Later on I edited a template because 2 boxes (on
is "Location" on the title slide, other "(e-mail address removed)" at the last
slide) weren't editable. After exchanging text boxes with text placeholders,
the one on the Ending Layout is working just fine, but I have a problem with
the Title Slide Layout (the one slide that is always there). It won't show
small editable box "Location" (shows other boxes, one in which goes the
title, another in which goes address of hte author), it will show it only
when inserting new title slide. But, I'd like it to be there from the
beginning. How can it be done?

I use Pageplus too, but have never experienced this problem.

Must be an earlier version. I have the X2 and X3 version and the template
extension in them both is ppx for templates.
