PPT 2003 Package for CD

Hi - I just loaded a trial version of Office 2003 to determine if I want to upgrade or not. I am most interested in learning more about the Package for CD functionality in PPT 2003. My plan is to distribute PowerPoint CDs to clients. Currently I am distributing Macromedia Flash presentations, which take a lot longer to create than a PowerPoint CD. (For me at least). If I can find a way to use PowerPoint, instead of Flash, I can justify the upgrade to 2003

My initial trial test did not go very well. Here is what I am experiencing

My test demo presentation contains audio (music and narration .WAV files) and animation effects (PowerPoint 2002 effects). When I played the CD on my desktop machine, the sound files (music and narration .WAV files) were "choppy" and broken. However, on my laptop, there was no degredation of animation or sound files.

I suspect that the distoration was due to my CD player, although I don't experience this problem with a similar Flash file. I know that the 2002 version of Producer had a list of non-supported animation effects. Has any found any information from Microsoft regarding limitations or compatibility issues with different animation effects or sound files when using the Package for CD functionality?

If you have worked with the Package for CD functionality, would you posting any tips or suggestions for me? I can't find anything concrete in the Office Help files

Thanks!

Flash is a compact streaming format - PowerPoint is a full-blown
presentation center-point that allows you to exchange, share and provide
information.

As such, PowerPoint requires a fairly powerful system - however defragment
and closing unrequired background programs will help.
