I am trying to Package a CD in PPT 2003 with an Adobe 7.0 hyperlink to my
data. However, when I try to open this CD on a computer that does not have
Adobe 7.0 installed, a screen pops up that tells me to Activate Adobe Acrobat.
When I choose not to do this, my presentation goes back to the PPT opening
screen.

HELP please??

Assuming your data is in a PDF file, you're asking the computer to open the PDF
in Reader or Acrobat when you click the link. If Reader or Acrobat are not
installed, there's no way to open the PDF.

In your case it sounds more as though Acrobat is installed but has never been
used yet. Your link starts it, it asks you to activate it (which you must do in
order to use it). You refuse and it quits.

For all practical purposes, there's no program in which to open your PDF, so ...
it can't be opened.

Try allowing Acrobat to activate. It should all work after that.
