PPS files open in editor instead of running.

Suddenly, when I wish to view a PPS file, it opens in PowerPoint for editing
rather than auto starting the show. It's happening to all my saved PPS files.
I'm using Office 2003.

This change has occurred after some battles with a trial version of MS
Office 2007 over who is actually in charge of my computer. Me or Office
2007. I have since removed Office 2007.

Resaving files as PPS files doesn't help. Any suggestions would be most
appreciated. Thanks in advance.

As well as the steps in Luc's link can you right click a pps icon and check
which command is in BOLD?

Thank you very much. I followed one of their suggestions (select a file |
Tools | Folder options, etc. and everything is back to normal. So simple.
