pps extension

I have newly installed Home and Student 2007 that includes PowerPoint and
also have PowerPoint Viewer on a 64 bit Vista system, but still can't open
a file with a .pps extension. Message says no association and to check
that. I did and it appears on the association list.

I've tried everything I could find and have had no success getting it to
open.

According to that this won't happen if you have PowerPoint 2007 installed.
I do have PowerPoint 2007 installed and it still won't open and I still get
the same error message.

save the pps on your desktio, right click on it > open wth, find
powerpoint, if cant see it in the list press browse and find it... make it
default

thanks. This worked for one but not the other. The failure said something
about it not being a win32 file????

Now if I could only get one to open directly and not have to go through the
desktop I would be much more satisfied with this system.

I already did uninstall and reinstall office. That made no difference.
