pp with mpeg clips

I am working on a powerpoint presentation, and have
converted DVD clips into mpeg format, and then inserted
the clips into the presentation. However, when I play two
video clips back to back, the second video clip will
sometimes play, but often it will just give a blank screen
and only the audio will play. What can be done to help
this play smoothly through. Thank you for you help.

If you haven't done it, update your version of DirectX.

In addition to updating Direct X, as Austin suggests, you might see if
starting the MPG after 1 or 2 seconds instead of after 0 seconds (in the
custom animation dialog) helps.
