PP Viewer 97 hyperlinks

ppview32.exe (recently downloaded) doesn't recognize hyperlinks to slides
within the same presentation. My reference, "How to Do Everything with
Powerpoint" by Ellen Finkelstein, says they work within a presentation but
not to other presentations or to the Internet. Is there a setting that I
need to use to make the local ones work?

Your links are appied to objects of some type (text or buttons, etc.). Are the
objects grouped? If so, ungroup them and they will work. I don't have Ellen's
book, but I know that links to other presentations work in the PowerPoint 97
Viewer, so it must be that the statement has some other context around it that
we are missing.

Yes, I had grouped the buttons. Ungrouping them did the trick. Thanks for
your help.
