I run Powerpoint 2000 SP-3 (Office 2000) under Win98SE. I find that during
slideshows, users can advance slides by clicking anywhere on the screen,
rather than only by clicking action buttons. Is there a way to stop this
behavior, so that slides will advance only when buttons are clicked? THX

Click Slide Show > Set Up Show.
Under Show type, select "Browsed at a kiosk".
